Frequently Asked Questions
How many bean bags are recommended?
This depends on the child's age and how many children will be playing with it. For a small baby, sensory play provides the most fun, and three bags are enough. For older children, six to fifteen bags are more challenging. The great thing is that the bags at Pit and Play are sold individually, so you can always add another bag to the collection if their interests change or if they need to expand.

Can you wash bean bags?
The sensory seed bags are filled with pure cherry stones. This is especially helpful if they're used frequently, for example, by childminders or when they're taken outside! Hand washing is preferred, but they can be gently machine-washed at your own risk. Be extra mindful of the drying process (to prevent mold). Do not use detergent and use a laundry net.
Are the bean bags safe?
The sensory bean bags are carefully handcrafted and carry the CE mark, the mandatory certification for safe toys. The materials used are all free of toxic substances, making them safe for children and the environment. However, the bags should always be used under supervision and regularly checked for damage or wear. If any damage is found, the product must be replaced to prevent injury or choking.
What ages are bean bags fun for?
Ages 0 to 99! Children under 3 should be supervised. Exercise is fun for everyone. Beanbags are open-ended toys, so the play possibilities are endless.
